Day 2 Uncover the Secrets of Mandala Top and Sangti Valley 🌄

Today, your first stop is Mandala Top, a captivating site featuring a series of 108 Buddhist stupas built in a circular formation atop a mountain in Arunachal Pradesh. It is one of its kind in India and what makes it unique is the inscriptions of the mantra 'Om Mani Padme Hum' in 108 pillars. Here, you'll be treated to breathtaking views that are sure to leave you in awe.

Visit the Dirang Monastery, which is named "Thupsung Dhargye Ling," a title bestowed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The name translates to "Place of Flourishing of the Buddha's Speech." This monastery serves as a temple and learning institute for the study of Tibetan Buddhism, attracting laypeople and monks alike. Nestled in the Himalayan village of Dirang, it's a tranquil place for spiritual reflection and admiration of the rich Tibetan culture.

The next part of your day is spent in the picturesque Sangti Valley. This valley has the stunning Sangti river, charming sheep farms, bountiful orchards, and landscapes that can only be described as postcard-perfect. The lake itself was formed during a flash flood that occurred during a 1972 earthquake. Its mesmerizing beauty is further enhanced by the bare upright tree trunks that can still be seen submerged within the lake.

Upon return, halt at Panga Teng Tso, a picturesque lake surrounded by a vivid backdrop of the snow-clad Himalayan Mountains.
