• Maximum 4 persons above 5 years are allowed in 1 Elephant.
• Children 5 years or below are free, if sits on the lap of the guardians.
• If any seat needed for children of 5 years or below, then it is chargeable as per the mentioned
rate.
• Pickup & drop fees will be extra if needed, start from ₹700
• Camera fees will be extra, start from ₹100
• Mobile phone camera is free.
Elephant safari timing
The duration of the Elephant safari is 1 hr. Usually, there are two shifts in the morning for the Elephant safari in Kaziranga National Park. But sometimes, on weekends or very crowded days, the Forest Department allows three shifts for the Elephant safari.
1st shift
Reporting time is at 5:00 am.
The safari starts at 5:30 am till 6:30 am.
2nd shift
Reporting time is at 6:00 am.
The safari starts at 6:30 am till 7:30 am.
3rd shift
Reporting time is at 7:00 am.
The safari starts at 7:30 am till 8:30 am.
But sometime the timing might change by 10-15 min due to change in the timing of sunrise. The changed timing is always notified in the evening, a day prior to the safari date.
Elephant safari ranges
There are two ranges or zones for elephant safaris. Western Range or Bagori and Central Range or Kohora.
Western Range, Bagori
Western Range is for Indians only and elephants are run by local private groups.
No foreigners are allowed in the Western range for elephant safari.
Central Range, Kohora
Central Range is especially for foreigners, officials & VIPs, and elephants are run by the Forest department. Indians are also allowed but foreigners, officials & VIPs are preferred first.
Refund & Cancellation
The advance amount is refundable if you cancel 7 days prior to your safari date.
Amend/change in booking
We can change the date of your safari if available, otherwise refund you, if you inform us 7 days prior to your safari date.
