Dawn elephant safari in Bagori (Western Range) for close encounters with One-Horned Rhinos. Afternoon open-top 4x4 Jeep safari in Kohora (Central Range) spotting wild water buffaloes, swamp deer, and elephants.

Kaziranga to Shillong via Umiam Lake
Drive west along NH27 and ascend the Meghalaya Plateau along 4-lane NH6 (230 km / 5.5 hrs). Stop for panoramic photo views and boat rides at Umiam Lake (Barapani). Evening heritage walk around Police Bazaar.

Shillong to Cherrapunji (Sohra) Gorges
Drive across the Duwan Sing Syiem bridge along SH11 to Cherrapunji (54 km / 1.5 hrs). Visit India's highest plunge cascade at Nohkalikai Falls (340m), explore limestone corridors of Mawsmai Cave, and view Seven Sisters Falls.

Nongriat Double Decker Living Root Bridge Trek
Descend 3,500 stone stairs from Tyrna village into the deep subtropical rainforest basin of Nongriat. Marvel at the ancient Umshiang Double Decker Living Root Bridge and swim in turquoise natural rock pools.

Dawki Crystal River & Mawlynnong Clean Village
Morning drive to Dawki on the Bangladesh border for a boat ride on the crystal-clear Umngot River. Visit Mawlynnong (Asia's cleanest village) and the single-decker Riwai root bridge. Return to Shillong for the night.

Kamakhya Temple & Guwahati Departure
Morning drive down NH6 to Guwahati. Visit the sacred hilltop Kamakhya Temple on Nilachal Hill before transferring to Guwahati Airport (GAU) for your return flight.
