    Arrival in Dimapur & Transfer to Kohima

    Meet Nezo chauffeur at Dimapur Airport. Scenic drive to Kohima along NH29. Briefing on festival etiquette and permit verification. Check in to festival lodge.

    Hornbill Festival Opening Pageantry (Kisama)

    Full day at Kisama Naga Heritage Village witnessing the grand cultural opening of the Hornbill Festival. Experience synchronized warrior dances, log-drum beats, indigenous archery, and taste authentic tribal dishes in individual tribal Morungs.

    Tribal Games & Evening Kohima Night Bazaar

    Second full day at Kisama for indigenous Naga wrestling competitions, traditional fire-making contests, and Naga king chilli eating contests. Evening exploration of the vibrant Kohima Night Carnival on Main Town Road.

    Dzukou Valley Ascent & Ridge Trek

    Early morning drive to Viswema road-head. Ascend steep stone staircases (1 hr) to the mountain ridge (2,550 m), then trek 2 hours across the rolling dwarf-bamboo meadows into Dzukou Valley. Sunset over freezing mountain streams. Overnight in SAYO rest house / mountain tents.

    Dzukou Basin Exploration & Descent via Jakhama

    Dawn exploration of the frost-dusted Dzukou river basin and natural rock caves. Descend through the Jakhama trail staircase (3.5 hrs). SUV pickup at Jakhama and transfer to Khonoma Green Village for a hot hearthside dinner.

    Khonoma Conservation & Alder Terraces

    Morning walking tour of Khonoma's KNCTS sanctuary forest and centuries-old terraced paddy engineering. Afternoon drive to Dzuleke for an off-grid digital detox evening around the family woodfire hearth.

    Pfutsero Highlands & Glory Peak

    Drive through the Chakhesang tribal hills to Pfutsero (2,133 m), Nagaland's highest town. Ascend Glory Peak (2,600 m) for 360-degree vistas of Mount Saramati and Mount Japfu. Return to Kohima for farewell dinner.

    Dimapur Transfer & Departure

    Morning drive down to Dimapur. Visit Diezephe Craft Village for woodcarving souvenirs before dropping at Dimapur Airport for onward flight.
