Land at Guwahati Airport (GAU). Meet your Nezo chauffeur and drive 5 hours through tea garden country to Bhalukpong on the Arunachal border. Complete ILP verification at the Bhalukpong check gate. Overnight in Bhalukpong.

Bhalukpong to Dirang Valley via Tippi Orchidarium
Visit the Tippi Orchid Research Centre housing over 500 endemic orchid species. Drive through the Nechiphu Tunnel and ascend past Bomdila into the temperate pine-scented Dirang Valley (1,497 m). Visit Dirang Dzong and natural hot springs. Acclimatize overnight in Dirang.

Dirang to Tawang via Sela Tunnel & Jaswant Garh
Ascend the high Himalayas toward the new twin-tube Sela Tunnel (13,000 ft), viewing frozen Sela Lake. Pay homage at the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. Arrive in Tawang (3,048 m) by late afternoon. Rest and hydrate. Overnight in Tawang.

Tawang Monastery, Urgelling & War Memorial
Spend the morning exploring the 17th-century Tawang Monastery (Galden Namgey Lhatse), visiting its three-story main temple, library of sacred manuscripts, and museum. In the afternoon, visit Urgelling Gompa (birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama) and the Tawang War Memorial. Overnight in Tawang.

High Border Excursion: Bum La Pass & Sangestar Tso
Board a local 4x4 SUV for an early morning ascent to Bum La Pass (4,633 m / 15,200 ft) on the Indo-China LAC border. Visit the surreal Sangestar Tso (Madhuri Lake) with its submerged tree trunks, and Panga Teng Tso (PTSO) Lake. Return to Tawang by evening. Overnight in Tawang.

Tawang to Bomdila via Nuranang Waterfall
Begin descent toward West Kameng, stopping at the roaring 100-meter Nuranang Waterfall (Jang Falls). Cross through Sela Tunnel and arrive in Bomdila (2,415 m). Visit the Upper and Lower Bomdila Monasteries and view sunset over the mountain ranges. Overnight in Bomdila.

Bomdila to Guwahati via Shergaon Apple Valley
Drive through the scenic horticultural valley of Shergaon and Rupa, descending into the Assam plains. Cross the Brahmaputra River and arrive in Guwahati for an evening Brahmaputra sunset cruise. Overnight in Guwahati.
